PROJECT FOR CLASS—X
Consider yourself to be Swaminathan’s father and
imagine what you could have written in the letter to the Headmaster of Swami’s

Sir,
This is to inform you that my son Swaminathan expresses his
unwillingness to go to school today. This morning at 9.30 he was lying with the
plea of his headache. When I insisted upon his going to school, he lodged
complaint against Mr Samuel stating that he would be utterly angry for late
arrival in his class. Further, he is such a wrathful person that he always
scolds the students who go late to his class and even the Headmaster is afraid
of him.
I do not believe this sort of cock-and-bull stories, for I
know that Mr Samuel is a gentleman, a good teacher and always sympathetic to
students. I never tolerate this kind of false allegations against any teacher.
So, I have rebuked my son and put pressure on him to dress up and move towards
school. Finally, he has gone to school with my sealed cover addressed to you.
Sir, today he will be late in school, and perhaps in Mr
Samuel’s class also. Please allow him to attend the school and kindly request
Mr Samuel to allow him to join his class too. Lastly, I would request you to
warn my son not to be absent from school due to trifling matters like headache
and to shun fictitious statements opposing any teacher.
Thank you,
Yours
faithfully,
R. Krishnamachari
